If you can't beat them, join them ?

In December I blogged about Myer's proposed Asian based online store.  Yesterday myfind went live

So how does it rate?

This site seems to me like a toe in the water.  The selection of goods is limited.  It is hard to say then how this will fair over the shorter term for Myer as for a guru of Internet shopping this has nothing much to offer.  It isn't sexy or inviting, the goods are ho-hum.  The prices from my quick search aren't competitive (see below).  Overall, I am unimpressed and wonder how much money Myer invested in this.  Every day I find a new site that is exciting and competitive, has something I want to buy.  Myfind is not one of these sites.

So what about shipping - not easy to find the long term shipping costs, but currently they are offering express delivery of only AUD until tomorrow, arriving in 3-5 business days. That's ok, but other sites offer shipping for free...
